Meet Sarah!
"Hi Chaos! My name is Sarah Ochocki and I'm so excited to be one of your RAs!! I've had the great joy of calling Cav my home under the dome for the past three years, and I am originally from Mentor, Ohio (30 minutes east of Cleveland). If you ever want to talk about braving the cold or cursed sports teams, I'm your girl.
I'm majoring in Neuroscience through the College of Arts and Letters, and I have minors in Education, Schooling, and Society (ESS) and Computing and Digital Technologies (CDT). I am speed-running the CDT minor this year, so unfortunately I cannot help with coding (yet!). I also started off my time here as a Bio pre-med, so if you need emotional support through gen chem and orgo, I am more than willing to lend a listening ear (you wouldn't want my helping hand). On campus I work as an elementary school tutor in the South Bend community through TutorND, work in psychology and educational research on campus, and am a part of Best Buddies and ActiveMinds. I've also been the Events Co-Chair for Notre Dame's Junior Parents Weekend (JPW), and worked with the Center for Social Concerns (CSC) as a teacher and recreation staff at a school for adults with neurodevelopmental disorders. Within Cav I have been on Hall Council helping with Spirit, Marvelous Mens Weekend, Elections Coordination, and Social Chair. I've also worked as a Hall Clerk for the past two years. Some of my favorite Cav traditions are Chat and Chew and Naughfest, and I am hoping to continue my win streak for the Cavanaugh Cup. When I'm not running around campus I enjoy reading, going to a Duncan workout class, going to ND sports events, calling my family, or sending my friends anything I find funny. Please feel free to stop by my room anytime, my door is always open for impromptu chats, dining hall trips, and anything else you may need. I'm truly so excited to get to know all of you, welcome you to campus, and share life with you. I'm looking forward to a great year, Go Irish and Go Chaos!" |
